The agricultural sector is the main pillar of the economy in Gorontalo Province, where peanuts serve as a reliable secondary crop for rural communities to generate household income. However, the traditional and independent farm management requires a comprehensive economic evaluation to ensure business sustainability in the field. Therefore, this study aims to (1) analyze the financial feasibility of peanut commodity farming and (2) analyze the development prospects of peanut farming in Tilihuwa Village, Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency. This research utilizes a descriptive quantitative approach. Primary data collection was conducted through questionnaires and structured interviews with 30 farmer respondents selected by purposive sampling from a total population of 71 farmers. The results of the financial feasibility analysis show that peanut farming is capable of generating an average revenue of Rp10,833,333.33 per planting season, with total production costs amounting to Rp9,202,700.11. Based on this calculation, farmers earn an average net income of Rp1,630,633.22 per planting season. The economic efficiency analysis yields a Revenue-Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio) of 1.33. This value, exceeding the minimum threshold, confirms that the farming enterprise is profitable and definitively feasible to operate. Prospectively, this farming is considered highly promising for the long term. This high development prospect is fundamentally supported by highly conducive market access, adequate availability of production inputs at the local level, as well as very positive perceptions and optimism from the farmers regarding the sustainability of their business.
